Class Descriptions

  • Aerial Arts

    Aerial Arts is an exciting and challenging class where students learn to perform aerial acrobatics using long fabric silks suspended from the ceiling. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, and aerial skills as they climb, wrap, and pose in the silks. This class emphasizes body awareness, control, and creativity, offering a unique and captivating form of expression in the air.

  • Ballet

    Ballet is a classical dance form that emphasizes grace, precision, and the discipline of technique. This class focuses on the fundamental ballet positions, movements, and terminology, helping dancers develop strength, flexibility, balance, and artistic expression. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, ballet training provides a strong foundation for all dance styles as well as aerial arts.

  • Barre/Technique

    Barre/Technique is a foundational class designed to improve dancers' strength, alignment, and technical proficiency. Utilizing the ballet barre, students will focus on exercises that target core strength, posture, and precise movement execution. This class is ideal for dancers and aerialists looking to refine their technique, build endurance, and enhance their overall performance quality.

  • Acro/Contortion

    Acrobatics/Contortion is a high-energy class that integrates tumbling and hand balancing skills with dance. Students will learn acrobatic skills, alongside contortion techniques that emphasize flexibility and strength. This class challenges students to develop their physical abilities and incorporate acrobatic elements into their dance and aerial routines.

  • Contemporary/Jazz

    Contemporary/Jazz  are dynamic dance classes that focus on the expressive movements of contemporary dance and the vibrant, energetic style of jazz. Students will explore a wide range of movement, from fluid and abstract to sharp and rhythmic. This class, which will alternate weekly between the two styles  encourages creativity, musicality, and technical skills, offering dancers the freedom to express themselves through innovative choreography and improvisation.

  • Lyrical

    Lyrical dance blends the technical elements of ballet with the fluid, emotive movements of contemporary dance. This style is characterized by its expressive quality, often set to music with lyrics that inspire the choreography. In lyrical class, dancers learn to convey deep emotions and storytelling through their movements, focusing on musicality, technique, and expressive interpretation.
